Earl DENNISON, 78, fatherof Mrs. Woodrow GODWIN, of Halls, died last Friday in his home in Newbern. Services were Sunday in Newbern's First Baptist Church, burial in Fairview Cemetery.

At the age of 25, he invented a duck call which he patented and which became widely known. He had been featured in Field and Stream & Outdoor Sports Magazine. He leaves his wife, Lola Ann Jackson DENNISON; his daughters, Mrs. Farris GARNER, Mrs. Noel CARMEN, and Mrs. Cecil ROSS, all of Newbern, Mrs.Glenn SWIMS, of Memphis, Mrs. Charles McCLURE and Mrs. Bobby BELL, both of Paducah, Ky.; his sons, Harold DENNISON and Tom DENNISON, both of Newbern and K.W. DENNISON, of Memphis; his sister, Mrs. Bill McDONALD, of Newbern; and his brothers, J.P. DENNISON, of Newbern and William Odell DENNISON, of Memphis.
