Dyersburg Daily State Gazette July 9, 1942 Former Resident Dies In Memphis Services for Mrs. Dora Childress, a resident of Memphis since 1926, who died at 9:50 o'clock yesterday morning, were held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at National Funeral Home by the Rev. Theo T. James. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Childress, 54, was a native of Selmer, Tenn., where she was married to J. C. Childress of Dyersburg. She leaves her father, J. L. Hughes; two daughters, Mrs. C. R. Ferguson and Mrs. O. V. Bramlett; four sons, Floyd and Wilford Johnson, Paul and Willard Childress, all of Memphis and three step children, Doyle and Alton Childress of Memphis and Mrs. Jim Babb of Portageville, Mo. |
