Dyersburg State Gazette Monday July 23,1973 J.T. Burns Funeral services for J.T. Burns, 127 Tennyson, were held Sunday afternoon at Curry's Chapel. The Reverend J. H. Austin officiated with the burial at Fairview Cemetery. J.W. Curry and son Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. Burns died Friday at Parkview Hospital at the age of 58. He was a retired city employee. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Olie Hurst Burns; three daughters; Mrs. Lyda Bullock, of Memphis, Mrs. Nita Enochs and Miss. Diane Burns, both of Dyersburg; four sons, Thomas and Bobby Lynn Burns and Frank Hurst, all of Dyersburg and Nathan Burns of Newbern; three sisters, Mrs. Reba Moore of Halls, Mrs Christine Turnbo of Dyersburg, Mrs. Jerry Langston of Dyer; and one brother Elmer Burns of Dyersburg. |
