Dyersburg State Gazette 22 July 1965 Mrs. Ada [Ida] Binkley Dies Early Today Mrs. Ada Binkley, 809 Marriman street, Widow of G. E. Binkley and longtime resident of Dyersburg and Dyer county, died at Gourley's Rest Home here at five o'clock this morning. She was 82. A native of Illinois, Mrs. Binkley was the daughter of the late Jacob and Louise Gulley Braden. She had lived in Dyer county and for the past 37 years had lived here in the city. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Her husband died in 1956. Funeral services for Mrs. Binkley will be held at four o'clock tomorrow afternoon at Curry's Chapel. The Reverend J. H. Austin will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Willie Reasons, Moody Reasons, Clinton Clark, Bill Clark, Virgil Tirey and Ray Thurmond. J. W. Curry and Son will have charge of arrangements. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elvis Reasons, Dyersburg, and Mrs. Zuma Foster, Memphis; a brother, Jake Braden, Dyersburg; a sister, Mrs. Liddie Robbins, Lenox; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. |
