Jennie Bennett

Mrs. Jennie Bennett died Wednesday at Parkview Convalescent Unit. She was 79 years of age and a member of the Bogota Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 at Curry's Chapel with Mr. John Stacy officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. J.W. Curry and Son Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by three sons, Samuel Ray Bennett of Newbern, Carmack Bennett of Lenox and Arthur Lee Bennett of Bogota; three daughters, Mrs. Sallie Mae Thurmond and Mrs. Daisy Ruth Pope, both of Dyersburg and Mrs. Reba Fern Hopper of Detroit, Michigan; a brother Duke Countess of Yorkville; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bennett of Bogota, Mrs. Tennie Pruitt of Dyersburg and Mrs. Margie Carroll of Dresden; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
