LOCALS -- T. C. PRUSELL of Hurricane Hill, was in this city Saturday. S. J. FLEMING has moved his family to Ripley. Mrs. Ed KING and son, Edward, left for New Orleans Monday to attend the Mardi Gras. Mrs. Steve FLEMING of Dyersburg is visiting her sister, Mrs. Enoch JONES. Trimble News. Mrs. Will SUMMERS is on the sick list. Miss Sallie EASLEY, accompanied by Miss Nan WARDLAW, came up from Ripley to visit relatives. Miss Lillie ENSLEY, of Tipton, after a pleasant visit to relatives here, returned home Saturday. Mrs. Lula COZART, teacher of the Samaria school, returned from Newbern Sunday, where she has been at the bedside of her son for the past two weeks. W. N. KIMBROUGH of the Racket STORE, left Sunday for St. Louis, from which point he goes to New York and other Eastern markets. Deputy Sheriff R. H. COLLINS is attending court at Dyersburg this week. Trimble News. Mrs. Will WALKER, who has been spending the winter in Texas, is home a few days. Mrs. M. E. CARNIS is spending several weeks with Trenton relatives. W. C. HOLLAND and family of Rives, visited Mr. & Mrs. Grant MURPHY Sunday. Mrs. Hayes HOWELL, of Randolph, is the guest of Mr. & Mrs. John B. HOWELL. Henry WEIMER is visiting his sister, Mrs. X. B. WICKERSHAM of Jackson. Miss Agatha SIMPSON has returned from a visit to friends at Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was accompanied home by Mrs. Tom DAWSON and little son. Mrs. DAWSON will be remembered here as Miss Sula GRIGGS. Mrs. Henry LLOYD has gone to Nashville and Elkton, KY, for two weeks visit and at the latter place will be the guest of Miss Martha BYARS. Mrs. J. W. FOWKLES of Newbern is the guest of Mrs. H. H. COTTON. Mrs. Fannie STEVENS returned Sunday after a long visit with her daughter, Mrs. W. D. CRICHTON of Fresno, Calif. As we go to press, we learn of the death of little Dane GREEN, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. B. M. GREEN. She had been a sufferer for sometime from tuberculois. Mrs. H. J. RICHARDS entertained Wednesday afternoon with a course luncheon complimentary to her sister, Mrs. Elmer PATTON. Ten attended. Mr. & Mrs. Allen TAYLOR have a new boy at their home. Leonard SCOBY of this city and Miss Maibelle ZARICOR of Churchton, were married at the home of the bride last Sunday.

SAMARIA -- Charlie NEAL has left the community and moved to Sorrell's Chapel. John GOODWIN has bought the Yourn WILLIAMS place and moved to it. Oscar EUDALY of Richwoods has moved to Homer JOHNSON's new house, which was just completed. We are glad to welcome Bud DANIEL and family, of Ferguson Schoolhouse, as our new neighbors. John STURDIVANT and family of Hickman, KY are visiting his brother, Ben, here. Mrs. STURDIVANT, of Memphis, is here spending a few days with her sons, Ben and John. Mr. & Mrs. Sid DOYLE have a new boy at their home, which made his advent on Sunday the third.

FOWKLES -- Jim VIA and wife can sing "Home Sweet Home" with spirit, they have moved into their new home. Edgar KING has moved into the house vacated by Mr. VIA. Will KING visited his father, Wm. R. KING, Monday. Mr. & Mrs. Preston WHITE, who were en route for Helena, Ark., stopped here to spend a few days with his wife's brother, Mr. GOODWIN.

ROELLEN -- We regret that Jane KISER is very low with fever. Miss Grace PIERCE, of Dyersburg, was a visitor here recently, the guest of her cousin, Miss Ruby PIERCE. Ed. HESTER was called to Fowkles last week on account of his father-in-law, Billy WELCH, being very low. The infant child of Mr. & Mrs. Jim McGRAW was taken to Rohobeth for burial last week. Mrs. Florence SMITH and little son, Dolphos, are the guests of her sister, Mrs. Hugh WELCH this week.

UNION HILL -- Sunday school is progressing nicely under the direction of our new Supt. W. R. MOORE. R. L. MEADERS has pneumonia. Mesdames GILMAN & SLAUGHTER have returned from Dyersburg, where they have bee attending the death bed of son and brother.

MEACHUM -- Mrs. Jessie LUNDON, of Missouri, is visiting her sister, Mrs. Ellie MAXEY. Misses Net KING and Georgie HURT spent a few days last week with Miss Pearl LANE.

NEWBERN -- Miss Viola PATTON, of Obion, visited in Newbern last week. She was the guest of Mrs. M. Y. MAXWELL. Miss HANSON, of Sardis, Miss., is visiting her sister, Mrs. James S. RADFORD. Mrs. ALDRIDGE visited her sister, Miss THOMAS last week. Gather GRAYSON, who has been mingling with old friends here, has returned to his post of duty in Memphis. Porter SHUMATE and wife are visiting their parents here. Porter is the cashier at the best bank in Hickman. Farris DICKEY, of Gulfport, Miss., has returned to Newbern. The Commercial Hotel has been bought from E. H. CASH by J. R. COLE. Mrs. Allison TYLER, of Hickman, is visiting her parents, I. (J.?) SHUMATE and wife. Mrs. WALL, daughter of Doctor McCONNELL, has returned to her home in Illinois, after having been with her father during his illness. Joe L. ROSENBLOOM, of Jackson, brother of our fellow-townsmen, Mr. ROSENBLOOM was in town. Miss Hattie CAPELLE visited her sister, Miss Susie CAPELLE, at Ripley. Abner ELLIS is getting well, after a hard case of pneumonia.
