The Rehoboth church was erected in 1869 by Stephen Chitwood, relatives, friends, etc. on land donated by same.

Stephen Chitwood is the brother of my Great Great Grandmother Susan Matilda Chitwood. She was married to my G.G. Grandfather, Columbus Claborn Ray (Wray, the older spelling) Many Rays and Chitwoods worshiped in this church and are buried in the adjacent cemetery.
