[Page 423] John A Williamson To} Deed Henry C. Williamson Recd October 16th 1866 7 ½ Oclock PM Know all men by these presents that I, John A. Williamson of Dyer County Tennessee for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen hundred Dollars to me paid by Henry C. Williamson of said County and state, have bargained sold and conveyed and do hereby bargain sell and convey unto said Henry Clay Williamson on the following [Page 424] Described tract or parcel of land in said County 4th civil district it being a part of the original DJ Williamson tract and laid off to me in the division among the heirs. Beginning at a mulberry and ash on the North side of the original tract runs West poles to a stake, white oak pointers thence poles South to a stake white oak Sweet Gum and walnut pointers. Then poles East to a stake red and white oak and Poplar pointers. Then East poles to a stake Red Oak pointers, Thence North poles to the beginning containing Sixty acres more or less. To have and to hold the same to the said Henry Clay Williamson his heirs and assigns forever. And I for myself my heirs and representatives do covenant and agree to warrant and defend the title to the same against all persons claiming by, through or under me. Witness my hand and seal this 15th October 1866 J. A. Williamson {Seal} US Revenue Stamps affixed $1.50 State of Tennessee} Dyer County} Personally appeared before me T. H. Benton clerk of the county court of said county J. A. Williamson the bargainor within named, with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged the execution of the following Deed for the purposes therein contained.
