L. P. Williamson To} Deed John O'Connor Recd. April 19, 1879 at 5 1/2 O'clock PM John T. Boon R. D. C. Know all men by these presents: that We Lunsford P. Williamson and Frank C. Sampson for and in consideration of the cancellation and delivery of our note for $674.00 to the said Williamson, by John O. Connor – the said note being executed on March 15th 1875 due at one day bearing 10% Interest made by the said Williamson, in favor of P. E. Wilson – have this day bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain sell transfer and convey unto the said John O'Connor, his heirs and assigns the following tract or parcel of land situate and lying in the 4th Civil District of Dyer County Tennessee, to wit; Being part of the lands of the late DJ Williamson Decd. Beginning at a sweet gum the South West Corner of the DJ Williamson land, the South East Corner of Charles Rudders lands; running thence east 72 poles to a stake with sweet gum, maple and small persimmon pointers, the S. W. Corner of D. J. Williamson Jr 35 23/160 acres Lot No. 1; thence North with his line 54 1/8 poles to a stake his north West Corner and Mary Simmons S. W. Corner; thence West 72 poles with Sam P. Williamson, South line to a stake with Sycamore and hornbeam pointers; thence South with the West boundary of the Original Williamson tract 54 1/8 poles to the Beginning Containing 25 acres, more or less – To have and to hold the same to the said John O'Connor, his heirs and assigns forever, and I, the said L. P. Williamson do covenant with the said John O'Connor, that I have a good right to convey the said land and that the same is unencumbered and I the said L. P. Williamson do further covenant and bind myself my heirs and representations to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land, to the said John O'Connor; his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons claiming through or under me, but not otherwise the said O'Connor, is to have this years ?ent of said land the ?ent note having this day been assigned him in consideration of the fact that John W. Wilson cancelled a note that he held against the said Williamson – all interlineations and erasures have been made before signing Witness our hands and seals this April 19th 1879. L. P. Williamson F.
