(Unreadable) For and in consideration of fifteen hundred Dollars cash on hand to one hand by Thomas H. Benton the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged I D. J. Williamson of the County of Dyer and State Tennessee have this day bargained sold transferred and conveyed unto Thomas H. Benton the following piece of parcel of ground lying and being situated in the 4th Civil District of Dyer County part of the old D. J. Williamson (SR) tract being the South East Corner and said tract 23/160 acres Bounded and described as follows to wit Beginning at a stake the South East corner of the original D. J. Williamson tract of land the north east corner of the F. N. W. Benton tract on the west boundary of B. McCulloch 800 acres running thence north 54 1/8 poles to a stake with Mulberry ash & Persimmon thence west 116 1/6 poles to a stake the north east corner of L. P. Williamson 25 acres thence South 58 1/8 poles to a stake with sweet gum maple & small persimmon pointers L. P. Williamson South East Corner thence East 116 1/16 to the Beginning Containing by Survey 35 23/160 acres being lot no 1 in the division of the D. J. Williamson land. I do Covenant with the said T. H. Benton that I am lawfully seized of said land and have a good right to Convey the Same and that it is unencumbered and that I will Warrant and forever defend the title to the above described land. To the said Thomas H. Benton his heirs and assigns forever in testimony where of I have hereunto subscribed my hand and seal on this the 29th day of Feby A. D. 1875. D. J. Williamson {SEAL}
