For and in consideration of the sum of one Dollar cash to us in hand paid and the other considerations herein after mentioned We John A. Williamson and wife S. B. Williamson of Dyer County Tennessee have this day sold and do hereby bargain sell transfer and convey unto J. R. Baker of Dyersburg Tennessee the following property to wit: The undivided one third interest of me John A. Williamson in & to the one hundred & eighty two acres of land conveyed to the children of JA Williamson Decd Vig: John Williamson (myself) Edgar Williamson, Lula Williamson and JL Williamson (Lula having since died) by FT Simmons on the 19th Feby 1868 by deed registered in Registers office of Dyer Co Tennessee in Book O page 78, Said land is bounded and described as follows: Lying near Obion River ___ Civil District of Dyer Co Tennessee part of Archibald Mumphrey's Grant; Beginning at a Hickory corner in the south boundary 296 poles east from the south west corner of the 700 acres conveyed to CP Clark by H Clark running thence north 186 poles to the south boundary of NA Whittington tract, Thence west two poles to his SW corner Thence north 134 poles to a stake with a poplar and two sweet gum pointers, Thence 90 poles to a stake with cypress red c??, small ash, and dy carmike pointers, Thence south 320 poles to a Sumac & two red oak pointers, Thence east 92 poles to the beginning containing one hundred and eighty two acres. We also convey unto said JR Baker our two horse wagon one iron gray filly, two year old and all the hock hogs we have being about thirty head in all and two miles of a bag color one a dark bag horse mule got of DH Jones others light bag mare mule got of Mrs Nail, and also one chestnut servile mare mule got of Mr. Simmons – also all the crop of cottonweed corn to be planted & cultivated by said JA Williamson hands on the farm of Jas A. Foster lying in the 5th Civil District of Dyer County Tennessee. Say 20 acres of corn, and 20 acres of cotton of this year. We warrant the little of said land and property and bind ourselves, our heirs, and legal representatives to warrant and defend the title of the same unto said JR Baker his heirs and assigns forever. We covenant with said Baker that we are lawfully seized of said land and property & have good right to convey the same, and I JA Williamson bind myself to plant & cultivate said crop and deliver the same when matured to said Baker, or his order. We further bind ourselves our heirs and representatives to deliver the possessive of said land and property to said Baker, at anytime demanded, but this conveyance is made for the following purposes: The said JA Williamson is indebted to JR Baker & CO of Dyersburg Tennessee, in the sum of One Hundred and Sixty & 44/100 dollars by note, of Date Jany 1/84 due at\on day and also by open of this year in the sum of $55.00 and said JR Baker & @, have contracted & agreed with me JA Williamson to furnish me the further sum of $50.00 of supplies & necessaries to enable me to cultivate and gather said crops and we are desirous of securing the payment of said note, ???, and said amount as contracted and agreed upon. Now if said indebtedness above mentioned shall be paid off or otherwise satisfactory arranged by the 15th of November next> then this conveyance to be void. But if not so settled or arranged by said time, we authorize and empower the said J. R. Baker (and in case he cannot for cause act then J. W. Baker every act in his stead) to take possession of our interest in said land, and also of said property, of every kind herein conveyed and proceed to sell the same, as he thinks Be?? For cash or on a credit, either publicly or privately, or ship the cash to market if he chooses, and apply the proceeds of said property when realized to payment of the above mentioned debts, interest & cash incident to this conveyance, and sale of the property including a reasonable attorneys fees, if he employs one, and pay over, balance to J. A. Williamson, or his order. In case of a sale of the undivided interest in said tract of land, we expressly waive all equity of redemption, or repurchase, and dower, & authorize the said J. R. Baker or J. W. Baker as the care way to be executed to the purchaser and absolute deed in fee simple, April 23rd, 1884.

County of Dyer       } Personally appeared before me Zack Watkins County Court Clerk of Said County J. A. Williamson and S. B., Williamson his wife bargainers above waived with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed for the purposes therein contained and the said named married war?? Having also appeared before me privately and apart from her said husband acknowledged the execution of the same by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly, and for the purposes therein contained.
