To} Deed of Trust
Turner Chamblin
Recd October 16th 1866 2 Oclock PM
For and in consideration of one dollar to me paid and the other consideration herein after
mentioned I have bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and turn over to Turner
Chamblin my present growing crop of cotton which is between two and three acres. But
his transfer is made for the following and no other purposes. I am indebted to said
Chamblin in the sum of Eighty Dollars advanced by him on said crop of cotton. Now I
pay said debt by the twenty fifth day of December next then this sale shall be void and of
no effect. In the mean time I shall pick out the cotton and deliver it to T Chamblin in
Dyersburg in the seed and he shall control it, sell it at his discretion and apply the
proceeds of the sale final to the payment of the above debt and the remainder if there be
any shall pay to me. Witness my hand this October the 15th 1866

B. Williams the within named bargainor, with whom I am personally acquainted and who
acknowledged that he executed the foregoing Deed of Trust for the purposes therein
