Know all men by these presents that I, W.C. Vail of the County of Dyer and the State of Tenneysee, and held and firmly bound me to C.L. Davis of the same place in the sum of five thousand dollars to be void however If I make on cause to bemade the said Davis, on his paying all the frun base money, a good and sufficient title with general warrenty for the following tract of land in the third Civil District of Dyer County Tenneysee to twit containing by estimation fifty acres and one road and thirteen poles, be the same more or lefs and conneled as follows, Beginning at an Elm the South East corner of A. Murphys Grant sunning thrence lilest thirty seven and a half ploes to a stake. Hambeam with blackgum and then beam pointers. Hences south 35 ½ degrees west thirty youv poles to a proplav with whiteoak pointers therue North 47 degrees west Fifty and three fourths poles to a poplar with Ash and Hickory frontier thence North 10 ½ East thirty two and a half poles to a Dogwood with black gum and white oak frorntess. Therence East ninty six and one half poles with R. Johnsons Lime to a stake with two white oak fromters. Thence South with Jolly Olds Line one hundred and six poles to the Beginning. Conveyed to C.L. Davis for twenty five hundred dollars in three equal payments, bearing interest from 25th December 1869. As follows $833.33 1/3 due December 1870 $833.33 1/3 due December 25, 1871. $ 833.33 1/3 December 25, 1872. This September 17th 1869. Witnefs my hand and seal,
