E A Henderson | For and in consideration of the sum of Seven
To Deed | hundred and twenty Dollars to be paid by Thomas
Thomas Presley | Presley in three instalments of Two hundred and
Rec'd Aug 30th 1883 | forty Dollars each, the first on the 31st day of August
at 2 o clock PM | 1883, the Second on or before the 30th of August
J T Boon, R. D. E. | 1884, and the third on or before the 30th day of August
---------------------- 1885, and each bearing interest one day after date
for which promissory notes are extended and delivered, bearing
date with this Conveyance. I, E. A. Henderson have bargained
and sold and do hereby transfer and convey unto the said Thomas
Presley his heirs and assigns, my store-house and lot, at RoEllen
in the Seventh Civil District of Dyer County, Tennessee, said lot
being formerly known as the Hart and Parker Store House and
Lot, Containing Fifty Two poles more or less Beginning two poles
South of a small ash tree running East four poles to a stake. Thence
North thirteen poles to a stake. Thence West four poles to a stake
Thence South thirteen poles to the Beginning Containing
by estimation fifty two poles, and also my Home place
at RoEllen in the Seventh Civil District of Dyer County, Tennessee
and bounded as follows Beginning at a stake in the Dyersburg
and Trenton Road, Dr P H Warrens S.E. Corner W G Coopers
South West Corner & Sidney Fooshees North West Corner, running West
with said Warrens line poles to a stake the North East Corner
of the old Hart Gin Lot & Thence South Twelve and a half poles to
a sweet gum, the South East Corner of the Same Lot, Thence West
seven poles to a large sweet gum the South West Corner of Gin Lot
Thence Twenty Seven and a half poles to a stake in the North
bank of the creek with Sycamore and Mulberry pointers, Thence
East poles to a Sycamore Fooshees South West Corner, Thence
North thirty nine poles to the Beginning Containing Seven
acres and two poles more or less. TO have and to hold the said house
and lot and also the said tract of land, with their
appurtenances, estate title and interests thereunto belonging to him
the said Thomas Presley his heirs and assigns forever. And I do
hereby Covenant with the said Thomas Presley his heirs and assigns
that I am lawfully siezed and possessed of said house and lot
and said land, in fee simple, and that I have a good right to
Convey the same, and that the same is unencumbered. And I
further Covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives
to Warrant and forever defind the title to the said Store house & Lot
and land to the said Thomas Presley his heirs and assigns
against the lawful claims of all persons Whomsoever
But a special lein is returned in said House & Lot land and
premises to secure and make certain the payment of the three
above described notes In Testimony Whereof I have this day
the 30th of August 1883 affixed my hand

Dyer County | Clerk of County Court of said County, the said

whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged
that he executed the annexed instrument of purposes therein
