Dyer County Deed Book Aug 1905 - Nov 1907, Vol 26, page 409-410 J.R. Menzies, Clerk. | Whereas on the 24th day of Sept. 1906 in the cause of To Deed | Joe Jackson et als. Vs. J.W. Rawls et als. in the To Mrs. Mary Preslar | county Court of Dyer County Tennessee by a decree Rec'd Nov 2 1906 | partitioning the lands among the children and heirs At 2 O'clock P.M. | at law of Joe Jackson deceased mentioned and described J.H. Ripley R.D.C. | in the said Cause and whereas by said decree in said | cause the clerk of said Court, of said County and ---------------------- State, was by said decree in said cause upon application of the said parties in said cause directed and ordered to execute to each of the said tennants in common and heirs at law as afore said a deed for the tracts of land laid off and set apart to and the title vested in Mrs. Mary Preslar one of the heirs at law and tennants in common of the following tracts of land and designated in said decree as lots "F" & "H" which is on the annexed plat which will be found in minute book "N" page 280 and is further bounded and described as Follows-: Lot "F" is described as follows to-wit; Begining at a stake in the right-of-way in the Dyersburg and Northern R.R. the South west corner of ot "D" upon plat the same having been alloted to Joe Jackson Jr,. thence west 74 poles to a stake with sweetgum pointers thence North 115 poles to a stake in center of Dyersburg and Cottonwood point road near the mouth of a ditch, and the southeast corner of lot "C" which was alloted to Jesse Jackson, thence east with said road 19 poles to a stake thence North 32 poles to a stake in the south boundary line of the Lillard tract of land thence east with said South boundary line 55 poles to one of Joe Jackson inner west corner of Lot "D" upon map, thence South with west line of lot "D" to the begining containing 64 acres more or less. Lot "H" is described as follows;- Begining at a stake with two willow oaks and sweetgum pointers in south boundary line of Chas. Colemans land the Northwest corner of lot "E" as show upon plat, runing thence 86 poles west to an elm pointer, Colemans southwest corner thence south 196 poles to a stake with cottonwood, a persimmon and elm pointers in the North line of Stevens Lumber Co. land thence east with North line of same 86 poles to a stake with maple and sweetgum pointers the southwest corner of lot "G" upon plat the same assigned to Joe Jackson Jr, thence north with the west line of said lot "E" 196 poles to the begining containing by estimation 105 acres more or less. Now therefore in the consideration of the premises above metio0ned I, J. R. Menzies Clerk of the County Court of Dyer County Tennessee in obedience to the decree of said Court in teh cause aforesaid have this day bargained, sold, transferd, adn conveyed and do hereby sell, bargain transfer and convey unto Mrs. Mary Preslar her heirs and assigns forever the above mentioned and described tracts of land and covenant with the said Mrs Mary Preslar, I that I have a right to sell, and convey said tracts of land to the said Mrs Mary Preslar her heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims of all person whomsoever. But I sell and convey and warrant the title to said tracts of land only as County Court Clerk and no further. Given under my hand and seal of office in Dyersburg Tennessee, This the 17th day of October 1906 Jno R Menzies Clerk State of Tennessee ) Dyer County ) Personally appeared before me, O.J. Radford Chairman of __________| the County Court of Dyer County, Tennessee, J.R.Menzies Clerk of said Court with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged the execution of the above instrument for the purposes therein expressed.
