Dyer County Deed Book Sept 1908 - Dec 1909, Vol 29, page 29 Mary Presley | Know all men by these presents: That for and in the To Deed | consideration of the sum of Thirty Three Hundred | ($3300.00) dollars, cash in hand paid the receipt of To Cutler & Hennings | which is hereby acknowledged, I Mary Presley of the Rec'd Oct 20th 1908 | county of Dyer and State of Tennessee, have this day At 11-1/2 O'clock A.M.| bargained and sold and do by these presents, hereby WT Wilson R. D.c. | bargain sell, transfer and convey unto Cutler and ---------------------- Henning of the County of Dyer and State of Tennessee the following described tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the civil District of Dyer county Tennessee and is further bounded and described as follows to wit: It being lot "H" set apart to Mary Presley by county Court of Dyer county Tennessee in the cause of Joe Jackson et al Vs J.W. Rawles et al as will be shown of record in the office of the county court clerk of Dyer County Tenn, in minute "N" at page 275. Being lot "H" alloted to Mary Presley and is bounded as follows: Begining at a stake with two willow oaks and sweetgum pointers in the South boundary line of Chas Colemans land, and the Northwest corner of Lot "E" as shown upon plot, running thence West 86 poles to an elm pointers, colemans Southwest corner, thence South 196 poles to a stake with cottonwood, persimmon and elm pointers in the North line of Stevens Lumber company lands; thesce East with North line of same 86 poles to a stake with maple and sweetgum pointers the Southwest corner of lot "G" upon plot the same as assigned to Joe Jackson, Jr, thence North with the West line of said lot "E" 196 poles to the begining, containing by estimation 105 acres more or less. To have and to hold the above described tract of land unto the said Cutler and Henning their heirs and assigns forever. And I covenant with the said Cutler and Henning that I am lawfully seized and possessed of said tract of land and have a good and perfect right to sell convey the same, and that the same is unemcumbered. And I further covenant with the said Cutler and Henning their heirs and assigns that I will forever warrant and defend the title to said tract of land against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hands on this 20th day of October 1908 Mary Presley State of Tennessee ) Personally appeared before me, John R. Menzies, Clerk Dyer County ) of the county court of said county, Mary Presley widow __________| the within named bargainor, with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that executed the within instrument for the purposes therein contained.
