THOMAS HENDERSON-JOHN PAYNE Deed 1829
Registered April 1, 1829 Dyer Co., TN.

This indenture made this 1st day of Feb. 1829 between THOMAS HENDERSON
of the County of Madison & State of Tennessee of the one part and JOHN PAYNE
of the County of Dyer & State of Tennessee of the other part witnessed that the said
THOMAS HENDERSON for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred & Fifty
Dollars to him in hand paid by the said PAYNE hath this day bargained & sold unto the
said PAYNE a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the county of Dyer in range 6 &
section 2 bounded as follows: Beginning at the south west corner of MARTIN
ARMSTRONG's 5000 acres Survey Grant No. 162 running east with his line three
hundred & twenty poles to the white oak thence three south seventy nine & one fourth
degrees, west four hundred & forty five poles to a poplar tree, north sixty six & one
half poles to a dogwood ROBERT REIDZ, north east corner thence west with his line
twenty four & one half poles to THOMAS G. POLKS, south east corner thence north
with his line eighty three poles to a white oak and ash thence east one hundred & fifty
poles to a hickory thence south to the beginning of the title to which land I lived myself
& my heirs & for every to defend against the claim of all and every person whatever
to the said PAYNE , his heirs and applying forever the ( unable to read) of the purchase
money aforesaid in hand acknowledged. In testimony where of I have here unto self
my hand and seal the day & date above written.
