HC Williamson To} Deed FT Simmons Recd. For registration March 22nd 1871 at 10 O'clock AM For and in consideration of the sum of one Thousand dollars cash to me in hand paid the receipt whereof confirmed I Henry C. Williamson of Dyer County Tennessee have bargained and sold & do hereby alien transfer convey deliver and confirm unto FT Simmons of the same county the following tract of Land in District 5 of Dyer County part of Archibald Mumphries Grant beginning at a stake with sumake & two Red ash Pointers the south west corner of land conveyed by CP Clark to FT Simmons running thence North with Simmons line 320 poles to a stake with Cypress red Elm ash & Sycamore pointers his northeast corner thence west 204 poles to a stake H Clarks NE Corner thence South 320 poles to CP Clarks old corner on Merchants line Thence East 204 poles to the Beginning Containing 408 Acres more or less to have and to hold said Land & bargained premises with all & singular the rights profits emoluments tenements hereditaments and appurtenances of in & to the same belonging or in anywise ascertaining to the only proper use & be hoof him the said FT Simmons his heirs and assigns forever and I covenant & bind myself my heirs & representatives to warrant and forever defend the title of the aforesaid Land and bargained premises against the lawful Claims of all persons whatever In Testimony where of I have here unto set my hand and seal this 17th day of April 1869 HC Williamson {Seal} State of Tennessee} Dyer County } Personally appeared before me Thos H. Benton Clerk of the County Court of Said County Henry C Williamson bargainer the within named with whom I am personally acquainted & who acknowledged that he executed the within deed for the purposes therein contained Witness my hand at office this 17th day of April 1869.
