D. J. Williamson To} Deed 102 Acres Jas. M. Rambeau Recd November 3rd 1883 at 4 o'clock PM Jno T. Boon R.D.C. Know all men by these presents that for and in consideration of Two Hundred and Twenty five Dollars to be paid as follows. $125.oo in one mare – and Two notes due respectively in one and Two years from this date for $50.00 each – I D. J. Williamson have this day bargained and sold and hereby transfer and convey to James M. Rambeau his heirs the following piece or parcel of land lying and being in the 16th Civil District of Dyer County Tenn being Lot No 7 in the Division of the Wm Merchant land lying on the Obion River – Bounded and described as follows - - To Wit: Beginning at a sassafras on the North boundary line of Lot No 6 and 51 poles West of its N. E. Corner. Running thence North 80 poles to a stake with Chestnut and other Pointers. Thence West 260 poles to a stake on the Obion River – Thence down the river with its meadows 75o East 250 poles to the Beginning. Containing One Hundred and two acres, More or less, To have and to hold to the said James M. Rambeau his heirs and assigns forever. I covenant with the said James M. Rambeau that I am lawfully seized of said land and have a good right to sell and convey the same – and will warrant and forever defend the title of said land unto him his heirs and assigns – A special lien is hereby retained on the above described tract of land to secure the unpaid purchase money – Witness my hand Novr 3rd 1883 State Tax 22 ½ cents D. J. Williamson State of Tennessee} Dyer County } Personally appeared before me Zach Watkins Clerk of the County Court of Said County Above named DJ Williamson the bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the annexed instrument for purposes therein contained.
