This indentum made this 10th day of December in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty between David Dickinson of Rutherford County and State of Tennessee of the one part and Devroux J. Williamson of the County of Rutherford and State of Tennessee of the other part Witnesseth that the said David Dickinson for and in consideration of the sum of Seventeen hundred & Seventy Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Deveroux J. Williamson the receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given grant bargained sold aliened Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien and convey unto said Deveroux J. Williamson his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract piece or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Dyer and State of Tennessee on the Northern waters of Forked Deer River Beginning at a Dogwood running thence South two hundred & Thirty two & three tenth poles to a stake the North West Corner of F. N. B Bentons tract of Land Thence With said Burtons line east four hundred & six & three tenth poles to a stake on B. McCullouchs line thence North with said McCullouchs line two hundred thirty two & three tenth poles to a sweet gun & Hickory his north West

Corner on David Gurner line Thence west four hundred & six & three tenth poles to the Beginning Containing by Estimation & Survey five hundred and Ninety acres of Land ------------------------------
To have & to hold the afoursaid land with all and legal and the rights profits emoluments hereditaments and apperitances of and in to the same belonging or in any way appertaining to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Deveroux J. Williamson his heirs and assigns forever and the Said David Dickinson his heirs executors and administrators do Covenant and agree to and with the said Deveroux J. Williamson his heirs and assigns forever that the before the cites land and liquid premises he will Warrant and forever defend against the right better witnest or claim of all and every person whomsoever.

Hardy and David McKalister [???] are being Witnesseth to the within and who being first sworn [def??] and say they are acquainted with the within named David Dickinson the bargainor and that he acknowledged the same in their presence to be his act and deed upon the day at this date Witness my hand at office this 10th day of December 1840
