Recd November 7th 1866 at 11 o'clock AM

Know all men by these presents that I B. C. Burgie of the County of Dyer State of Tennessee for the sum of Five Dollars promised and evidenced by two promissory notes went dated here with for the sums of Two Hundred and Fifty dollars respectfully, on the first day of January & April AD 1867 hath this day bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell and convey unto Turner Chamblin the following described property, to wit, one half interest in a certain House and Lot of Ground, situate, lying and being in the Town of Dyersburg, County of Dyer, and State of Tennessee, known and designated on the plan of said Town, as Lot No 54, bounded on the East by Mill Street West by H. Clarks Lot, South by Stevens and North by J. N. Pierce Decd Tavern Lot being the Lot on which the said Turner Chamblin now resides, containing by estimation One Half Acre, more or less, To have and to hold the said described interest in House & Lot to the said Turner Chamblin his heirs and assigns forever, and the said BC Burgie for himself, his heirs, executers and administrators, do covenant, to and with the said Turner Chamblin, his heirs, and assigns to forever warrant and defend the title to the above described property, against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof, The said BC Burgie has hereunto set his hand and seal this 6th day of November AD 1866.

Dyer County          } Personally appeared before me Thos. H. Benton Clerk of the County Court of Said County Belfield C. Burgie the above named bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed of conveyance for the uses and purposes therein contained, Witness my hand at office this 6th day of November, 1866.          T.
