JNO.C. BOWEN To) Deed HENRY WELSH Registered Oct. 12 1838 This indenture made the 4th day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and thirty eight between JOHN C. BOWEN of the state of Arkansas and Mississippi County of the one part and HENRY WELSH of the County of Dyer and the State of Tennessee of the other part Witnesseth that the said JOHN C. BOWEN aor and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and forty eight to me in hand paid by the said HENRY WELSH the receipt whereof is herby acknowledged hath Bargained and by thes presents doth bargain and sell unto HENRY WELSH to his heirs and assigns all and singular one hundred and Twenty four acres of land lying in Dyer County & the State of Tennessee part of a tract of Land of five thousand acres granted to MARTIN ARMSTRONG by grant No. 162 buted and bounded as follows to wit Begin on a black oak the South East corner of DANIEL FRAISERS tract of land running thence East sixty two poles to two poplars thence North Two hundred and Eighty six poles to a Shell Bark Hickory thence West Eighty poles to a white Oak Clays East Boundry line thence South with said line Sixty Eight poles to Clays South East corner thence South in all one hundred and ninty eight poles to a black oak on FRAZIERS north boundry line thence East with said line five pole to FRAZIERS North East corner thence South One hundred and Twenty Seven poles to the beginning with all and singular hereditaments and appertenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the Revertions Remainder or Remainders Rents Issues and profits thereof and also all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim or demands Whatsoever of him the said JOHN C. BOWEN Either law or Equity of in and to the above Bargained premises every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said WELSH his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use in behalf of him the said HENRY WELSH his heirs and assigns forever in Witness my hand and seal this day and date written signed sealed in the presence of us.
