J. T. Alsup & ux Know all men by these present that we J. T. Alsup, and wife Sallie Alsup, for and in consideration of the sum of fourteen hundred ($1400.00) dollars, being part of the consideration for a piece or parcel of land this day bought of J. C. Holt and wife, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained and sold and do by these presents bargain, sell transfer and convey unto J. C. Holt, and wife Minnie Holt, their heirs and assigns forever the following described tracts or parcels of land lying and being in dyer county, Tennessee and in the 10th Civil District, and bounded and described as follows to-wit: First tract; Beginning at a stake in the North line of the Dyersburg and Booths point Public road, 35 yards from the south west corner of John Hicks tract of land, running thence North 70 yards to a stake in the North line of the Original J. C. Holt lot, thence west 35 yards to a stake, the N. W. corner of said original one acre lot thence South 70 yards to a stake in the Public Road, thence East 35 years to the beginning, containing ½ acre more or less. Second tract; Beginning at the Northwest corner of Jessie Alsup's lot, above described lot, running thence East 212 feet to a stake; thence North 88 feet to a stake; thence West 133 feet to a stake; thence Southwest 83 feet to at stake in the east line of a 12 foot alley; thence 60 feet to the beginning. For deeds to above described tracts see deed book 32 page 67 and deed book 33 page 126, respectively, as appears in the registers office of Dyer county Tennessee. To have and to hold said above described tracts of land, with the appurtencances and hereditaments thereunto belonging, to the said J. C. Holt and Minnie Holt, their heirs and assigns forever. We covenant with the said J. C. Holt and wife Minnie Holt, their heirs and assigns, that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said tracts of land, have a good and perfect right to sell and convey the same, and that the same are unencumbered, we further covenant with the said J. C. Holt and Minnie Holt, their heirs and assigns, and bind ourselves our heirs and assigns to forever warrant and defend the title to said tracts of land to the said J. C. Holt and Minnie Holt, their heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of any and all persons whomsoever. Witness our hands this the 30th day of October 1911.
