Know all men by these presents that we, Harley Byars and wife Mary Byars, for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand one hundred ($1100.00) dollars, cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day bargained and sold and do by these presents bargain, sell, transfer, and convey unto J. T. Alsup, his heirs and assigns, the following described tract or parcel of land lying and being in the town of Finley, County of Dyer, State of Tennessee, and in the 10th Civil District bounded as follows to wit: Being the western one half of the J. C. Holt lot, beginning at a stake in North line of the Dyersburg and Booths point Public Road, 35 yards from the southwest corner of John Hicks tract of land, running thence North 70 yards to a stake in the North line of the original lot, thence west 35 yards to a to a stake, the N.W. corner of said original one acre lot, thence south 70 yards to a stake in the public road, thence east 35 yards to the beginning, containing ½ acre more or less.

Being the same lot sold by J. C. Holt and wife to T. J. Anderson as appears of record in Deed book 25 page 487 in the Registers office of Dyer county Tennessee and by T. J. Anderson to Patsy Anderson, deed book 26 page 80 and by Patsy Anderson to Noah Jackson as appears in deed book 26 page 477 and by said Jackson and wife to us as appears of record in the Registers office of said county and State of Tennessee in deed book 32 at page 40.

To have and to hold the said lot or parcel of land, with all improvements, hereditaments and appurtenances, thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, to the said J. T. Alsup, his heirs and assigns, forever. We covenant with the said J. T. Alsup, his heirs and assigns, that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said lot or parcel of land, have a good right to sell and convey the same, and that the same in unencumbered. We further covenant with the said J. T. Alsup, his heirs and assigns, and bind ourselves, our heirs and assigns, to forever warrant and defend the title to said piece or parcel of land to the said J. T. Alsup, his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of any and all persons whomsoever. Witness our hands this the 20th day of August 1910.
