Know all men by these presents that we J. T. Alsup and wife Sallie Alsup for and in the consideration of the sum of thirty four hundred ($3400.00) dollars cash in hand paid the receipt of which in hereby acknowledged have this day bargained and sold and do by these presents sell transfer and convey unto V. H. Mitchell his heirs and assigns the following described tract or parcel of land lying in the 10 Civil district of Dyer county Tennessee described and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake with Maple white oak and gum pointers , T. J. Prichards northwest corner; runs thence west 187 poles to a stake; thence south 140 poles to a stake J. M. Whittingtons northwest corner; thence east 187 poles to a stake with Maple and two sweet gums and as a pointer; thence North 140 poles to the beginning containing by estimation 163 1/3 acres more or less. Being the same land bought of B. T. Horton and wife and J. C. Holt and wife as appears of record in Deed book 16 page 296 and Book 30 page 498 respectively in the registers office of Dyer county Tenn.

To have and to hold unto the said V. H. Mitchell his heirs and assigns forever that we are lawfully seized and possessed of the said land, have a good and perfect right to sell and convey the same and that the same in unencumbered. We further covenant with the said V. H. Michell , his heirs and assigns, and bind ourselves our heirs and assigns to forever warrant and defend the title to said above described tract of land to the said V. H. Michell his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of any and all persons whomsoever. Witness our hand this the 8th day of February 1910
