For the consideration of a deed of conveyance of 25 acres and 24 poles of land to us made by J. C. Holt and wife Minnie Holt we J. T. Alsup and wife Sallie Allsup have this day bargained and sold transferred and conveyed all of our right title claims and interest into the following described parcel of land lying in the 10th Civil District of Dyer county, Tenn the said land being the southern part of a sixty three acre tract conveyed to J. C. Holt and J. T. Alsup by B. C. Burgie and beginning at a stake the northeast corner of a 40 acre tract conveyed to Bob Holt by McKnight in the line running North and south dividing the John P. McLemore 640 acre grant running thence west with Holts North line 91 poles to a stake and pointers Holts Northwest corner in Twillas east line, thence North with his east line 70 poles to a stake and pointers in the south line of Original Deberry now Alsup tract thence east with south line of same passing the southeast corner of Alsup tract at 63 poles in all 91 poles to a stake Elm and black gum pointers in the line running north and south through McLemore 640 acres grant the same being the south west corner of tract bought of John Hicks by Dr. I. N. Rawles and the northwest corner of the old William Twilla tract thence S4° with said line to beginning containing by estimation 39 acres more or less.

To have and to hold said land J. C. Holt and heirs and assigns forever. We covenant with the said J. C. Holt that we are lawfully seized of said land and have a perfect right to make this conveyance and that the same is unencumbered. We further covenant with J. C. Holt and bind ourselves our heirs and legal representatives to warrant and forever defend the title of said land against the lawful claims of all person whomsoever. This Nov. 27th 1909.
