For the consideration of a deed of conveyance of thirty nine acres of land to us made by J. T. Alsup and wife, We J. C. Holt and wife, Minnie Holt, have this day bargained and sold transferred and conveyed all of our right to the title interest in and to the following described tract of land lying in the 10th Civil District of Dyer county Tenn., the said land being the northern of the 63 tract conveyed to J. C. Holt and J. T. Alsup by B. C. Burgie and more fully . . . as follows beginning. At a stake two Cypress pointers the southeast corner of J. T. Alsup home tract, running thence north 87 degrees east 28 4/5 poles to a stake with black gum and elm pointers, in the line running north and south through the J. C. McLemore 640 acre grant in dividing same, the same being the southwest corner of the tract bought of John Hicks of Dr. I. N. Ralwes (Rawles), and the northwest corner of the old W.M. Twilla tract, thence North 4 degrees west 140 poles to a stake, the white oak and maple pointers called for being gone thence south 87 degrees west 28 4/5 poles to a stake the northeast corner of the J. O.(T) Alsup tract; thence south with the east boundary line of the same 140 poles to the point of beginning, containing by estimation 25 acres and .. . To have to do hold, to the said J. T. Alsup his heirs and assigns forever, and we covenant with the said Alsup and wife that we are lawfully seized of said land and have a perfect right to make this conveyance, and that same is not incumbered, and that we further covenant with the said J. C. (T) Alsup that we will forever warrant and defend the title of said land against the claims of all persons whomsoever. This deed of conveyance is made for the purpose of dividing a 63 acres tract of land bought of B. C. Burgie by J. T. Alsup and J. C. Holt.
