This indenture made this 6th day of January 1902 by and between B. C. Burgie of Dyer county, Tennessee of the first part and G. (J) T. Alsup and J. C. Holt of Dyer county, Tennessee of the other part witnesseth that said B. C. Burgie for the consideration of five hundred dollars two hundred dollars of which said J. T. Alsup and J. C. Holt has paid in cash and for the remainder of which they have executed their promissory note due the twenty-fifth of December 1902 for three hundred dollars with interest from date, have bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey and confirm unto J. T. Alsup and J. C. Holt their heirs and assigns forever the following piece or parcel of land situated in the 10th Civil District of Dyer county State of Tennessee, bounded as follows: Beginning a stake with white oak and maple pointers the north west corner of T. J. Prichett tract now owned by John Hicks, running thence south 4° E with his west boundary line 208 poles to a stake in the line running North and south through the McLemore 640 acre grant it being the northeast corner of a 40 acre tract conveyed to Bob Holt by McKnight thence west with Holts North boundary line 91 poles to a stake and pointer Holts north west corner in Twillas east line thence North with his east boundary line 70 poles to a stake and pointers in the south line of the Deberry tract thence east with the south boundary line of the same 65 poles to a stake with cypress pointers the south east corner of the Deberry tract thence north with east line of same 140 poles to a stake in the south line of the Fumbanks tract the same being the northeast corner of the said Deberry tract thence east with Fumbanks south line 28 3/5 poles to the beginning containing by estimation 63 acres and 112 poles more or less.
