Be it Remembered that a county court was begun and held for the County of Dyer State of Tennessee at the Court House in the Town of Dyersburg on the first Monday in September it being the 4th day of said month in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & forty Eight & in the 73rd year of American Independence. Present and holding said Court the Worshipfull THOMAS J. CONNELL Esq. Chairman of said court SAMUEL McDAVID, A. B. STALCUP Esquire ---? Justices present Esquires JEHIEL M. Issued 5th Sept 1848 Ordered by the court that the Sheriff of this county have the three youngest children of KING McVAY here in open court at the next October Term to be dealt with as the court may direct.

This day SAMUEL T. NEELEY came into court here & Resigned his office of Constable which was Received by the court & ordered of Record.
Issued 14th Sept 1848 Ordered by the court that JAMES McKNIGHT, JAMES RADFORD, THOMAS FENEY, JOSIAH WEAKLEY & JOHN FINLEY be and they are hereby appointed a Jury of View to view & Mark out an alteration in the Hales point Road...
