Be it Remembered that a county court was begun and held for the County of Dyer State of Tennessee at the Court House in the Town of Dyersburg on the first Monday in November it being the fifth day of said month in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & forty Nine & in the 74th year of American Independence. Present and holding said Court the Worshipful THOMAS J. CONNELL Esqr Chairman of said Court, A. B. STALCUP, SAML WALKER, BENJ. W. PERRY, ASA GRIFFIN & THOMAS NASH Esquires Justices of said Court, Z. B. PHILLIPS Sheriff of said County & JAMES H. DOYLE Clerk of said Court when the following proceedings were had Towit:
This day JOSEPH MICHELL was appointed administrator of the Goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements of GEORGE C. BOOTH Deceased, whereupon the said JOSEPH MICHELL, came into open court here together with JAMES FIELDS & WILLIAM A. DAWSON, his Securities and Entered into and acknowledged Bond...
Issued 6th Novr 1849 Ordered by the court that WILLIAM SMITH be appointed overseer of that part of the Trenton Road commencing at the Union Meeting House Bridge...
