Be it Remembered that a county court was begun and held for the County of Dyer State of Tennessee at the Court House in the Town of Dyersburg on the first Monday in April it being the second day of said month in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & forty Nine & in the Seventy third year of the American Independence of the United Stated.

Present and holding said Court the Worshipful THOMAS J. CONNELL Esquire Chairman, SAMUEL McDAVID and ALEXANDER B. STALLCUP Esquires quorum Justices, JOSEPH N. PIERCE, ASA GRIFFIN, J. M. McCORKLE, WILLIAM MILLER, HENRY WYNNE, J. F. SINCLAIR, SILAS FERRELL, and ISAAC SAWYER, Esquires Justices of said court, Z. B. PHILLIPS Sheriff of said county and JAMES H. On a motion to allow RICHARD STAGGS Thirtynine Dollars for work on Pond Creek Road, one third of all the Justices of this court being present those voting for said allowance were Esquires CONNELL, McDAVID, STALLCUP, PIERCE, GRIFFIN, McCORKLE, MILLER, WYNNE and SINCLAIR, so said allowance was made and ordered to be paid by the County Trustee.

This day SHERROD BREWER, one of the children and heirs of HEWING BREWER Late of this county deceased, by his attorney petitioned this court to send up the paper purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of said H. BREWER, to the next term of the circuit court of this county to make up an issue of "Devisavit vel non:; and the said SHERROD BREWER having entered into Bond in the sum of Five hundred dollars with M. D. FISER and J. W. ECHOLS his securities conditioned as the Law directs; It is therefore ordered by the court that the Clerk of this court file all the papers in said case with the Clerk of the circuit court and issue the Subpoenas therein prayed for &c.
