The Wilkins Family Cemetery is no more. Plowed under in a field to the degree that the exact location is lost. It was about 1 mile from the intersection of Highway 104 and the Don Hurley Rd on the east side of Don Hurley road setting back about 1/4 mile in the end of a pasture where a group of trees were growing. All the headstones were flattened on the ground in the mid 1970's. I copied the ones I could see. and took a photograph of one. In the 1950's there were supposed to be more visible. In the 1980's the farmer dragged out the trees, removed the fences, smoothed the land, and has been planting crops ever since. I live in Arizona and planed a trip to Dyersburg to visit the cemetery with some steel rods to poke in the ground to locate the missing stones. I stopped at the house that was close to the spot and the owner was nice enough to let me know what had happened. I was 20 years too late. These stones were the ones I copied in 1975.
