JAMES K. WEBB Will Probated March Term 1885 Minute Book D page 249 In the name of God, Amen. The fifth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty five I JAMES K. WEBB of the County of Crockett State of Tennessee through the blessing of God in a sound state of mind and memory ... do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first off I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me and the disposal of my body I leave to the entire discretion of my friends. ...To my beloved wife CELIA ANN the tract of land upon which I now reside consisting of seventy six acres... also all of my household and personal effects. I also appoint my wife my Executor to pay to my creditors DR. T. J. HICKS & H. H. RICHARDSON their accounts. Also to my wife CELIA ANN my lands lying in the 16th District of Madison County containing two hundred and sixty eight acres and the rent arising there from during her natural life and at her death said lands to be divided with my children as follows, To my daughter LEE ANN J. TYLER and her bodily heirs one hundred acres of said land... The remainder of said tract to my son THOMAS J. WEBB and his bodily heirs...
