In the name of God Amen I CHARLES M. THACKER of the County of Crockett and State of Tennessee being of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows:

First having heretofore given to my son JAMES M. THACKER one hundred acres of land worth two thousand and five hundred Dollars and to my daughter E. F. BYRN two thousand and five Hundred dollars in money and also to my daughter H. E. GOODLOE a tract of land containing about one hundred and eight acres worth two thousand and five hundred dollars. All the remainder of my property that I may die possessed of I give and bequeath in the following manner that is to say -

I give and bequeath to my wife L. C. THACKER during her natural life a part of the tract of land on which I now live... (land boarders the property of JAMES M. THACKER, heirs of ROBERT MURDAUGH, M. CLAY, GOODLOE's, and WILLIAM HENDRICKS). I also give to my wife all my household and kitchen furniture, my wagon and farming utensils to her and her heirs forever... also three head of horses first choice and all of my cattle, hogs and sheep.

I leave to my daughter ANN PHILIPS during her life a certain piece of land bounded by... MURDOUGH, W. A. SLAYTON, FIELDER, and by the land I have left to my wife and JAMES M. THACKER's land... at her death the land goes to her children and their heirs forever.

I leave to my son DAVID C. THACKER and his heirs lawfully begotten of his body a certain tract or parcel of land bounded by... JAMES M. THACKER, EVANS, the Dyer Church lot, and by JOHN LEATHS land containing about 50 acres, but if he should die without heirs lawfully begotten as aforesaid, I give said piece or parcel of land to the children of my daughter ANN PHILLIPS to them and their heirs forever.

All the remainder of my property not above bequeathed I leave to be sold... includes horses, cattle hogs and sheep... and the money from the sail thereof to be equally divided between my son DAVID C. THACKER and my daughter ANN PHILIPS.

That part of the tract of land above given to my wife during her natural life I leave to be divided (at the death of my wife) equally between my son JAMES M. THACKER and my daughter H. E. GOODLOE by a line to run north and south giving to JAMES M. THACKER the east side and to H. E. GOODLOE the west side provided the said JAMES M. THACKER pay to my son DAVID C. THACKER and my daughter ANN PHILLIPS three hundred and fifty dollars each and that H. E. GOODLOE pay to my daughter M. E. F. BYRN five hundred dollars.
