H. B. REAMES Will Probated March Term 1888 See Minute Book E page 2 I H. B. REAMS of Crockett Co. Tenn being sound both in body and mind yet knowing the uncertainty of life do make ordain and publish this my last will and testament... 1st I direct that any debts... be paid... 2nd I give for life to my beloved wife MATILDA A. REAMS the tract of land on which we now live known as the EDWARDS tract containing one Hundred acres. 3rd I give to my beloved wife Five Hundred dollars in money in addition to this I give to her for life subject to the trust herein after made for the benefit of my Grand daughter FLORA SHAW all my personal property of every nature and kind but if my beloved wife find this personal property more than desirable she may during her life distribute any portion of said property to our children and our Grand child FLORA SHAW equally. 4th I direct that out of my personal property my Grand child FLORA SHAW shall receive a support and education so long as her Grand mother my wife shall live provided said FLORA is left by her Father under the control of my said wife... 5th at the death of my dear wife I direct my Executor pay out of my personal property to my son H. B. REAMS JR. Three Hundred dollars in money and to my son T. A. REAMES Two Hundred dollars the balance of the personal property he will divide equally between my children and my Grand child FLORA SHAW. 6th I give to my son T. A. REAMS in trust at the death of my wife my home place and direct that he hold said land in trust for the benefit of my Grand daughter FLORA SHAW while she is a minor and unmaried and until she has become a mother, when my said Grand child marries and has a child if she ever does so. I direct that my said son T. A. REAMS as trustee shall convey the land to my said Grand daughter to her sole and seperate use but if my said Grand daughter FLORA dies without issue he will divide said land between himself and his brother H. B. REAMS, but it is expressly understood that after my said Grand daughter comes of age or marries she may live on said place and fully control the same... 7th I give to my son H. B. REAMS JR. Forty acres of land known as the MATHEWS tract lying in civil district no 1 of Crockett Co. Tenn in this however I reserve ¼ acre around for the family burial ground. I also give to my said son H. B. REAMS sixty acres of the J. B. MORTON tract of land to be cut off by Beginning at the south east corner of the Original tract in the old Madison Co. line... 8th I give to my son T. A. REAMS the balance of the J. B. MORTON tract that is one hundred acres. 9th I direct that my wife MATILDA A. REAMS act as the executrix of this my will and at her death or mariage if she marry again I name my son H. B. REAMS as my executor. 10th I release my wife from giving bond as executrix of this my will In testimony whereof I have placed my signature to this my last will and testament in the pressence of the witnesses here unto subscribing this the 1st day of Sept 1880. Witnesses: I hereby make this amendment or codicil to this my will I direct that my sons T. A. REAMS and H. B. REAMS JR. shall receive no more under the 5th section of my will than my Grand child FLORA SHAW and that the payment of two and three Hundred dollars as provided in the the 5th section of said will be not made but that my executor divide the property under sd 5th section equally between sd FLORA, T. A. & H. B. REAMS to each one third. I do this because sd moneys ordered first part was to equalize advancements which I have now done myself. H. B. REAMS
