Will of H. J. PEARSON, Probated [in Crockett Co.] May term 1872 I, HENRY J. PEARSON of the County of Madison and state of Tennessee do make and ordain this my last will... Mentions: To Wife, MARTHA M. PEARSON, Fifteen hundred dollars and personal property. To my [son?] JOHN E. PEARSON, the tract of land purchased by me from J. J. MATHEWS containing one hundred and seventeen acres and 3/4. To my Daughter SARAH ANN YARBROUGH, the tract of land that HENRY YARBROUGH now lives on containing Four Hundred and Twenty acres and all the notes I hold against him up to this date. To my son THOMAS J. PEARSON, a tract of land known as the GREY MEDLIN tract of land containing Two hundred and 3 1/2 acres. To my daughter NANCY E. PEARSON, the East end of the tract of land that I reside with the exception of Gin. Gin House and Lot the line beginning at the mouth of the lane of WILLIAM BOYKINS tract... so as to give JAMES H. PEARSON the turnip patch and Gin House..., also a horse, and other personal property. To my son JAMES H PEARSON, the tract of land that I reside on the west side... so as to give JAMES H. PEARSON the Gin lot. Also, a horse Executors: my two sons JOHN E. PEARSON and THOMAS J. PEARSON.

Test: Codicil, dated March the 31 1872: To my wife MARTHA W. PEARSON, in addition to above... the sum of Five hundred dollars I wish my cotten that I may have on hand at my death sold..., my debts paid from proceeds, and the remainder of any to be equally divided between all my children JOHN E. PEARSON, SARAH E. YARBROUGH, THOMAS J. PEARSON, NANCY E. MARTIN and JAMES H. PEARSON.
