I PHILLIP PEARCE of the County of Crockett and State of Tennessee being of sound mind and good memory do make public and declare this to be my last will and testament...

1st I desire that my Executor shall as soon as possible after my death pay my Doctors Bill and burial expences...

2ndly I desire that my Executor shall take charge of and sell either privately or publicly at his option the following property viz one younge Sorrel horse and all of my cattle except two cows & calves and all of my pork except five hundred pounds and all such other property as my wife may not desire to keep... and he shall apply all cash that I leave at my death not disposed as herein before directed together with the proceeds of said propperty so sold to the payment of a Court Judgement debt against me as the Security of G. W. ALLEN in favor of R. W. SIMS administrator of HENRY KING dec for which my home tract of land was sold in April 1885 Subject to redemtion in two years and if said cash and personal property shall not be sufficient to pay off said debt and redeem my land I desire and direct my Executor to lay off and sell enough of my land to satisfy said debt and redeem my land said land so sold shall be laid off of the Northeast corner of the tract so as to not include any of the houses nor all the timber.

3d I give and bequeath to my beloved wife M. J. PEARCE during her natural life the following property to be kept or sold or desposed of at her option viz One Bay horse one Buggy and Harness One two horse waggon and Harness two cows and calves (her choice) five hundred pounds of pork all of my wheat oats corn fordder hay potatoes Poltry farming tools geers axes household and kitchen furnature and in fact all of my personal property that she may desire to keep except such as has been herein described to be sold and the remainder of my personal property including Notes accounts Judgments &c Shall pass into the hands of my Executor and be disposed of as above directed... I give to my wife all of my tract of land (that may remain after selling off said piece...) to be owned occupied and controlled by her... and at her death said land and all improvements there on shall pass to and belong to and forever be owned and controled by my Grand daughter NOLIA TISDELL her heirs and assign free from all claims whatsoever I also desire and direct that at the death of my wife if any of the personal property or procedes thereof herein before given to my wife shall remain NOLIN TISDELL shall have the same Except one dollar each to the following named 4 grand children viz ELLENA TISDELL, DORSY TISDELL, IDA TISDELL, and EDDIE TISDELL children of my daughter EMMA TISDELL. I also give to my son GEORGE ADISON PEACE one dollars said one dollar each shall be first paid to them if any remain at the death of my wife and NOLIA shall have the remainder. No part of the property owned by my wife or brought into the family by her at our mariage shall be taken into account touched or disposed of by this will as that is and shall remain hers to dispose of as she choses.

I hereby appoint J. W. ROSAMANON (Rosamon?) my Executor.

I have given off to my other children valueable property in the past and desire and direct that they have no more of my estate But my son in law THOMAS B. TISDALL of Barbersville Va owes me a jint debt due by Judgment on S. S. WATKINS J. P.'s dockett for about $103.00 and Several years Interest which desire collected off of him and turned into and form apart of my estate as other debts or claims.
