Will of G. L. HOPKINS Probated March 21 (or 31) 1925 Minute Book 11 Page 69 Last Will and Testament of G. L. HOPKINS Know all men by these presents that I, G. L. HOPKINS of Crockett County Tennessee, being sound in mind and in good health do hereby make and publish this as my Last Will and Testament. I – I desire that my executor, hereinafter named, as soon as practical after my death, collect all debts due my estate and pay all my just indebtedness. II – It is my will that of my chattels, live stock notes be converted into cash as soon after my death as practical, and the proceeds, together with any actual cash I may have on had at the time of my death be divided equally between my four children and wife, childrens names, COOPER HOPKINS, OLLIE, NANNIE B. and MYRTLE and my wife, MANDY. III – I desire that the following real be given to the children that I hereafter name, the land described as follows and to the children specified, viz; To my son, COOPER HOPKINS I give and bequeath the following real estate; Lying and being in the 9th Civil district Crockett County Tennessee… [description of land follows]… due East 77 poles to the MRS. NUNN line… South…to the SANDERS line… contains 115 acres. IIII – I hereby give to my daughters, OLLIE and MYRTLE 120 acres described as follows, and the same shall be equally divided in number of acres between the two said daughters, OLLIE receiving the 60 acres next to the Brownsville and Eaton road… [description of land follows]… runs thence East with MRS. MAGGIE RICE's land… I do hereby will to said MYRTLE HOPKINS CAMP the said sixty acres to her and her bodily heirs, in the event of no heir of MYRTLE CAMP the same, upon the death of said MYRTLE HOPKINS CAMP, revert to the remaining heirs of my body. IV – I do hereby give to my daughter NANNIE B. HOPKINS the sixty acres known as my homeplace and bounded as follows… North by E. M. C. DUNAGAN…South by STRANGE… West by JOHN BOWEN (col) and contains 60 acres. 6 - I do hereby nominate and appoint my son, J. C. HOPKINS executor of this, my last will and testament, and having full faith and confidence in his honesty and integrity, I do not require him to execute any bond as such executor.
