Will of THOMAS GROUNDS Probated August 9th. 1928 Know all men, this is my last will, all others being void. That I THOMAS GROUNDS being in sound mind, do on this the tenth day of November nineteen hundred and twenty six, at Friendship in Crockett county, in state of Tennessee, will that my beloved wife MAGGIE GROUNDS have all of my earthly possessions consisting of my home and contents situated on the north East corner of Depot and Colledge streets in the town of Friendship, Crockett county, state of Tennessee, my shares in the Bank of Friendship, Notes and what money I may have at my death. I also will that MARK B. RICE act as administrator of my estate and further that he not be required to make any bond or obligation for the faithful performance of that dutie and further do I insist that no money be sinfully wasted on my burial &c but that I be Burried in an econnomical manner, in the good old fashioned way in a plain coffin, further as I have given my children at various times sums of money I will all that I have at my death to my beloved wife MAGGIE GROUNDS.
