Will of J. H. CATES - Probated May 26th 1923 Minute Book 10 Page __ I, JOHN H. CATES, of Crockett County, Tennessee, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills by me at any time made. Item 1: I nominate and appoint my wife MRS. LELA CATES, executor of this my will and testament, and direct that all my just debts, including funeral expenses be paid as soon after my death as may be. Item 2: I will and bequeath unto my wife MRS. LELA CATES all my personal property, also all my real estate during her life, in the event that my wife should die before my sons JACK and CHARLES CATES become twenty one years old, I want them to have the benefit of all my real estate until they become twenty one years of age then to be divided as follows; My home place where we now live I want to go to JACK and CHARLES CATES, the store building I want to go to my children BLYTHE CATES, BEULAH MURCHISON and the heirs of my daughter LOIS CATES PERMINTER. I desire my wife to continue the busness that I am now in if same can be done in peace.
