Will of MARTHA BROOKS Probated Nov 29th 1921 Minute Book 10 Page __ Know all men by these present that I MARTHA BROOKS, of Chestnut Bluff Crockett County Tennessee being of sound mind and a disposing memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void any and all others at any time made. First – I will to my husband all personal property I may own at my death and his courtesy right in all real estate, I may die seized and possessed of, but he is not to cut any valuable timber lumber from the same. After the death of my husband J. H. BROOKS, I will devise and bequeath to my two grand sons JOE B. CARTER and S. B. CARTER thirty four acres the North side of the tract of land sold to J. F. BROOKS. I will to my son I. W. BROOKS twenty acres of land North of the CARTER boys of the same tract, also I give to my son E. H. BROOKS 10 acres of land of the same tract of land North of I. W. BROOKS, the boys is take the land at our death and do what they please with it there is no further with it. We want the children to take the land in possession and use as they & I nominate my husband pleas J. H. BROOKS to act as my execter without bond. Signed sealed published in our presence as the will and testament of MRS. MARTHA BROOKS and we witness the same as such at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other.
