The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, October 28, 1948 Vol. 16 No. 35 Mrs. W. R. Williams passes away--The death of Mrs. W. R. Williams, who passed away Sunday evening at 8:30 at her home in Bells was a shock to her many relatives and friends who did not realize the end was so near. Mrs. Williams had not been well for several months, but was able to be up and take drives around town until Friday when she felt worse and went to bed. She grew worse and died suddenly Sunday. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 3:30 at the home with Rev. J. P. Irion, pastor of the Methodist Church of which she was a life long member, in charge assisted by Mr. Williams' pastor, Rev. E. B. Motley. Burial was in Belleview Cemetery in the family lot and was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband and sister, Mrs. Sallie Koonce, brother, W. E. McQuarrie and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. |
