The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, December 2, 1948 Vol. 16 No. 40 Luther C. Wiley--Mr. Luther C. Wiley died at his home in Friendship Tuesday afternoon after an illiness of several days. He was 61 and a devout member of the Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer. Funeral services with Sudbury Funeral Home, incomplete pending the arrival of his son, Bearl Wiley, who is in the Army stationed in Germany. Burial will be in Sudbury Cemetery. Besides a large number of friends, he leaves his wife, Mrs. Julia King Wiley, three daughters, Mrs. Shelby Thompson of Dyersburg, Mrs. Mark Stewart of Trenton and Mrs. A. F. Rogan of St. Louis, Mo.; two sons, Earl of Fowlkes and Bearl of Germany; three sisters, Mrs. Oscar Stanfield of Saltillo, Tenn., and Mrs. Matt Newman of Fillmore, Calif.; two brothers, Stewart Wiley of Lexington, Tenn., and Clifford Wiley of Kosciusko, Miss. |
