CROCKETT COUNTY SENTINEL VOLUME 77 NUMBER 34 THURSDAY DECEMBER 15, 1949 BELLS, TENNESSEE FUNERAL--Luke E. TOOMS, well-known Bells druggest died Wednesday following a heart attack. His wife, Mrs. Rebecca Farrow TOOMS; sons, Robert and Leighton Hess TOOMS; brothers, Vaden TOOMSof Maderia, Calif., Roy TOOMSof Clinton, Ky., H. Cole TOOMS of Memphis; sisters, Mrs. A. D. HOUSE of Brownsville and Mrs. W. Q. MAER of Temuco, Chile survive. Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Bells Friday. Full Masonic rites will be put on by the Dyersburg Commandery Knights Templers and the Alamo and Dyersburg Blue Lodge. Burial in Bellview Cemetery. He was 49.
