The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, May 13, 1948 Vol. 16 No. 11 Pfc. Charles Tinker--The body of Pfc. Charles Tinker, son of Mr. Sammie Tinker, who was killed in France in 1944, was brought back to his native home and the military funeral was held Tuesday morning at the Midway Baptist Church with Rev. J. E. Sharpe as the minister in charge. Charles was 29 years old when he was killed in the service of his country and was a native of Crockett County. His body now rests in Belleview Cemetery. Goosmann Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Sgt. James J. Francomacaro was the Government Escort here. |
