The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, June 3, 1948 Vol. 16 No. 14 H. N. Tims--Services for H. N. Tims were held at Maury City Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. R. Roach, Methodist minister of Maury City and the Rev. Robert Clark, Methodist minister of Trenton officiated. Burial was in Maury City Cemetery with Sudbury Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Tims was 67 and a Methodist. He was a member of the Crockett County Court for six years, a prominent planter and landowner. He died at his home near Halls after an illness of less than an hour. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Drucilla Elmore Tims; two sons, Ellis and Otho Tims both of Maury City; two daughters, Mrs. Gale Sumners of Newbern. Mrs. Eli Jordan of Halls; three brothers, I. J. Tims of Bemis; Sam Tims of Texas City, Texas, Jim Tims of Waldon, Ark and a sister, Mrs. Lee Keltner of Paducah, Ky. Henry Nathan Tims was the son of William Clark Tims and Sarah Jane Collins. |
