The Crockett Times H. E. Thompson Passes Away Services for H. E. Thompson were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the First Christian Church in Bells with the Rev. Frank Perry, pastor of the Christian Church officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. James P. Irion, pastor of the Bells Methodist Church. Burial in Bellview Cemetery. Mr. Thompson, who was 71 died at his home at 8:30 Friday morning following a heart attack. He was married to Miss Eddie Mae Neil in 1895, who passed away in 1928. He was a prominent merchant of Bells, a member of the Church Board and Elder of the First Christian Church. In 1937 he was married to Ruth Welch of Stanton, Tenn., who survives him. He is also survived by two daughters, Claire Thompson and Mrs. Cortez Pierce of Bells; one son, Frank Thompson of Memphis; one grand son, Frank Thompson, Jr.; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Booth of Maury City. Mr. Thompson had many friends throughout the county. Goosmann Funeral Home in charge. |
