The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, January 9, 1947 Harry Thomas Harry Thomas, 48, former Alamo business man, died Tuesday at 6:20 p.m. at the Fitts-White Clinic in Jackson where he recently underwent an operation. Mr. Thomas was reared near Bells, but had lived in Texas a number of years where he was engaged in the grocery business. He came to Alamo from Brownsville about two years ago and purchased the Alamo Produce Co., business from Eron May. He was a successful business man and outstanding citizen. Mr. Thomas was a member of the Methodist Church and contributed liberally of his means and was active in church work. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. J. B. Allen of Galveston, Texas; one son, Harry, Jr., of Brownsville; one sister, Mrs. Francis Fields of Lubbock, Texas; two half brothers, Ike Shaw of Bells and Allen Shaw of Lubbock, Texas, and one half sister, Miss Louise Shaw of Lubbock, Texas. Services will be held at the First Methodist Church in Bells this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock by the Rev. J. P. Irion assisted by the Rev. E. Farris of Brownsville.
