The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, January 8, 1948 Vol. 15 No. 45 Mrs. Odie C. Spraggins, wife of Odie C. Spraggins, died at a Louisville, Ky. hospital as the result of a fall a few days ago. She was 76. Mrs. Spraggins had gone to Louisville to visit her daughter. She was born and reared in Crockett County, near Alamo, the daughter of the late Joe and Tabbie Bledsoe. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Humboldt, and had made her home there for 55 years. Beside her husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Verla Ward of Little Rock, Mrs. Perry Brasfield of Louisville and Mrs. Jane Turgon of Humboldt; a son, Howard Spraggins of Cleveland, Ohio, and five sisters, Mrs. J. R. Nethery of Humboldt, Mrs. Claude Thomas of Jackson, Tenn., Mrs. Ira Marrs of Water Valley, Miss., Mrs. James Martin of Comfort, Texas and Miss Gladys Bledsoe of Humboldt.
