The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, July 29, 1937 R. Shelton Spence R. Shelton Spence, of Halls, 57, died last Thursday at the home of his brother, I. L. Spence, in Bells, where he was living. He leaves his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Wyman Hurt of Halls, and Mrs. Tom Miller of Nut Bush; one son, Rufus, of Halls; two brothers, Joe of Halls and L. L. of Bells and one sister, Mrs. B. B. Brown of Halls. Mr. Spence was a member of the Methodist church and was held in high esteem. The remains were carried to Halls for funeral services Friday at the Methodist church by the Rev. Davis, and interment at Lebanon, in Crockett county. Evans, Lasiter & Casey, undertakers in charge. |
